Set+Place Development Advisors
Bridging Capital and Community in Real Estate Development

About Set+Place Development Advisors
Set+Place Development Advisors bridges the gap between capital and community in real estate development. We work at the intersection of commercial development, public-private partnerships, and placemaking—advising institutional real estate firms, family offices, cities, and public agencies through the full development process. Most projects fail because capital and community aren’t speaking the same language. We exist to translate between municipal priorities and development economics, ensuring better outcomes for all stakeholders.
Founded by Shavon N. Edwards, MREDU, Set+Place brings deep expertise spanning institutional real estate (Link Logistics/Blackstone), infrastructure and P3 advisory (WSP), and public-affairs strategy (Kivvit). Shavon holds a Master of Real Estate Development + Urbanism from the University of Miami and a BA in Political Science and Law & Policy from the University of Michigan. We’re intentionally small—the work is done by the person you hire, not handed down a chain.
